SELECT TEAM LEVEL DEVELOPMENT PHILOSOPHY

The Franciscan S.C believes that Select Soccer should be a healthy experience for everyone - players, coaches, and parents. Therefore, the training environment should be one where the coaches can cultivate the interest level for everyone. We want our children to enjoy playing soccer so that they can become students of the game, not just players of the game. At F.S.C., we focus on developing the mental and physical qualities of our children. They learn how to become disciplined players who stayed focused on the game. We also nurture a healthy team attitiude where children learn to play for each other, not just with each other.

Our Directors and Coaches have the experience to know what to teach and how to teach it. Our Club Director's have Professional, Top Amateur or equivalent playing levels, a minimum of a United States Soccer Federation (U.S.S.F.) National B or higher level coaching certification, and years of successful club management experience. Our Team Coaches have a minimum of Professional, Top Amateur or equivalent level playing experience and a minimum of a U.S.S.F. State D License or higher level Coaching Certification.

We look for athletic players who have friendly and respectful personalities to be part of our teams. Our players grow to love playing soccer and competing in healthy ways. F.S.C. believes that when teams are made up of like-minded children and parents, they inspire each other to get better because they learn to work harder together. At Franciscan, we say, "We want our children to become better people as well as better players"
