About FSC

Hello, my name is Tony Reynoso, I founded and direct the Franciscan Soccer Club (2003). The Club is based upon principles that value the children who play in it. Those who coach, work, and volunteer must all believe in this principle if they are to continue to coach, work and volunteer in it. Children are always considered people first, before they are considered players in the FSC.

I was born and raised in St. Louis. I gained my playing and coaching experience in St. Louis and Kansas City. I played at the Top Amateur Level for fifteen years during my twenties and early thirties before retiring at the age of thirty five. One of my playing highlights is that I organized and played on a travelling team with several Division 1 Level Internationals from England, Yugoslavia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Argentina and the U.S. I kept this team together for seven years. I also attended the highest level U.S.S.F Coaching Schools through the National A License and have coached several high level youth teams in my career. I love soccer, love teaching it and love talking it.

Because FSC places so much value on the child's development, it is the coaching that must be the emphasis. In order to be hired to coach a club team in the in the F.S.C., people must have a minimum of Top Amateur or Professional level playing backgrounds, as well as be in pursuit or hold a U.S.S.F "D" License. People must know what to teach, and how to teach it, before they can head coach in the Franciscan Soccer Club.

Our club development structure models several European professional youth clubs, namely the Dutch system. I have created a learning environment for children that is team structured, but promotes individual creativity. Our players learn to be respectful of each other so that they can inspire each other. Our training methods focus on developing a player's decision-making skills, while promoting a strong competitive attitude.

We want our players to develop a passion for the game by first learning how to play it the right way. Children love coming to practices because they like how our coaches inspire them to work hard, and the training sessions are so challenging. From there, our players aspire because they practice harder to get better for the pure aspect of loving to play the game, and learning how to win the right way!
